Intelligence community venture capital firm In-Q-Tel has invested in and partnered with Immersive Wisdom to further develop the latter company’s virtual and intelligence platform for government applications.
Immersive Wisdom designed its software to help users access information in real time and view live 3D maps through a shared virtual workspace, IQT said Tuesday.
The technology employs virtual, mixed and augmented reality approaches intended to generate a single view of complex environments.
Megan Anderson, an IQT senior vice president, said the platform can aid government customers in intelligence, surveillance, reconnaissance, analysis and cyber activities.
The Immersive Wisdom offering has potential applications to virtual tactical and cybersecurity operations centers, facilities, distributed mission planning, intelligence analysis and ISR, battlespace situational awareness, smart city decision, logistics and supply chain operations.
