Northrop Grumman will obtain long-lead parts and support the full rate production of two lot 7Â E-2D Advanced Hawkeye aircraft under a $49.9M contract modification from the U.S. Navy.
The company will perform work through December 2023 and receive full amount of the modification at the time of award, the Department of Defense said Monday.
The Navy awarded the company a $99.7M firm-fixed-price contract in February for the same type of services.
E-2D Advanced Hawkeye is equipped with a 360-degree radar technology, a command-and-control system, a glass cockpit and a tactical fourth operator display.
The military branch expects the AHE platform to reach initial operational capability for aerial refueling missions by fiscal 2020.
