Saab will provide desert and woodland camouflage systems under a potential $66M order from the U.S. Army.
The company said Tuesday it will manufacture the Ultra Lightweight Camouflage Net Systems at its U.S. defense and security business unit’s Lillington, N.C.-based facility and expect deliveries to run from 2019 to 2020.
Erik Smith, president and CEO of Saab’s U.S. defense and security business, said the company’s camouflage systems seek to provide the service branch “with signature management capability for its land forces including exceptional levels of multispectral protection against any possible sensor threat available today.”
