Mac Curtis: Perspecta Leverages IP to Support Government Clients

Perspecta CEO Mac Curtis told the Washington Business Journal in an interview published Tuesday how the company capitalizes on its intellectual property portfolio and experience in applied research to support government customers.

“We’re not a product company,” Curtis told WBJ’s Robert Terry.

“But we are a solutions company that leverages its IP to help enhance the effectiveness of the customer’s mission.”

He discussed about the company’s involvement in a Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency-hosted exercise on Plum Island in New York to simulate a cyber attack on a power grid as part of DARPA’s Rapid Attack Detection, Isolation and Characterization Systems program.

Curtis, a four-time Wash100 winner, also cited scale as one of the factors behind the decision to merge Vencore and KeyPoint Government Solutions with DXC Technology’s former public sector business to form Perspecta, according to the report.
