NS2 Serves Graduates First UK Vets Under Tech Training, Employment Program

NS2 Serves has graduated the first-ever group of U.K. veterans who received instruction under the U.S.-based nonprofit’s technology training and employment program.

Former U.K. army air corps officers Aidan Gray and Ryan Dix completed NS2 Serves’ three-month, in-residence schooling to garner technical and “soft business” skills to aid them as they make their transition from military service to the private sector, the organization said Monday.

Gray and Dix subscribed to the program via C5 Capital’s cloud leadership center, which works in tandem with NS2 Serves and the U.K. defense ministry to select participants.

“We have a duty to ensure that personnel that have served us so faithfully across the world are repaid with proper employment and training for their new lives,” said Andre Pienaar, managing partner and founder of C5 Capital.

Brig. Martyn Gamble, arms and services head of the U.K. army, said the defense ministry has already put in place measures catering to retired service personnel and that the NS2 Serves program augments such initiatives.
