ECS has secured a potential five-year, $51M contract to provide full life cycle support for an information technology platform that Air Mobility Command uses to track Defense Department cargo and passenger movements globally.
The company said Tuesday it will help AMC, a component of U.S. Transportation Command, to update and maintain the Global Air Transportation Execution System that works to document and process payment transactions for global air and surface transit.
“GATES is an essential element of an extraordinarily complex logistical undertaking,†ECS President George Wilson said.
Wilson added the company is honored to support Transcom and the U.S. Air Force in efforts to address DoD’s transportation requirements.
ECS intends to deploy a software development team composed of 75 professionals to Transcom’s headquarters at Scott Air Force Base in Illinois to support GATES development and operation
