A mobile application Maximus developed for Louisiana’s Medicaid program has helped beneficiaries explore and select coverage plans with the use of smartphones.
The Healthy Louisiana app is equipped with authentication and encryption features meant to secure protected health and personnally identifiable information, Maximus said Wednesday.
The volume of digital enrollment applications under the state’s managed care program through mobile and web platforms doubled in 2017, according to the company.
Maximus added the rate of enrollment via Healthy Louisiana tripled last year and it ranked among top 100 medical apps in Google Play during the open enrollment period’s first month.
