Marcus Featherston, executive vice president for mission solutions at Polaris Alpha, has said the company develops machine learning algorithms and artificial intelligence platforms designed to analyze data and facilitate the decision-making process for government clients in support of their national security missions.
Featherston told Geospatial World in an interview published Monday about the company’s efforts to build command-and-control technologies and other platforms that have space situational awareness applications.
He mentioned the company’s cyber defense work with the U.S. Air Force and how organizations can help mitigate cyber incidents.
“The only way to solve the issue is by spreading awareness… So if somebody is buying a smartwatch to monitor their fitness, being aware of what data it might be sending is a must,†he added.
