Timothy Gallagher, a more than 20-year FBI veteran, has been named as a managing director within Kroll‘s cybersecurity and investigations practice.
Kroll said Monday Gallagher brings investigative experience in the areas of financial fraud and cyber-related crimes to his new position.
He previously managed the FBI’s Newark, New Jersey office and led a multiagency task force that worked to identify and address all terrorist threats across the state.
His career at the bureau also includes time as deputy assistant director of the criminal investigative division; special agent in charge of the criminal and cyber division in the Washington, D.C. field office; and section chief at the FBI Headquarters’ cyber division.
Gallagher came to the bureau in 1996 after he served in investigative and compliance roles at NASA and the departments of Defense and Labor.
