Mitre has appointed five individuals to the nonprofit company’s Visiting Fellows Program that aims to help address complex national problems.
The nonprofit said Thursday its newly appointed visiting fellows possess a background in the organization’s strategic focus areas of national defense, cybersecurity and health.

The nonprofit’s senior visiting fellows are:
- Steven Boutelle, former chief information officer of the U.S. Army and vice president at Cisco Systems
- Robert Darnell, professor of cancer biology at Rockefeller University
- Rick Ledgett, former deputy director of the National Security Agency
- Mark McClellan, director of the Duke Margolis Center for Health Policy
