John Avalos, chief operating officer of SOS International, has been appointed to serve on the Intelligence and National Security Alliance as an advisory committee member.
He will support the panel’s efforts to determine how INSA can accomplish its mission to increase collaboration between government, private and academic entities to help address national security challenges, SOSi said Tuesday.
Avalos, a 20-year industry veteran, joined SOSi in August last year after he served as vice president of business development at Booz Allen Hamilton for four years.
He previously spent 10 years at BAE Systems in roles such as manager and VP within the defense contractor’s intelligence and security sector
Before he joined the private sector, Avalos was a U.S. Army analyst who helped conduct intelligence operations and supported national-level intelligence agencies.
