Leidos has been featured in Newsweek’s annual list of 500 U.S. publicly traded companies that have demonstrated efforts to help protect the environment.
The company said Tuesday it landed the 38th spot on the 2017 Green Rankings and received the “greenest company” designation in the information and technology category.
Newsweek ranked companies based on their initiatives to preserve the environment through senior executive team involvement, reduce energy and water consumption, manage waste and cut greenhouse gas emissions.
“We continuously look for ways to reduce our environmental footprint – both for our enterprise and for our customers,” said Roger Krone, chairman and CEO of Leidos.
Krone added the company works to align its commitment to develop new technologies with efforts to minimize the environmental impact of its business operations.
