Andy Meister, formerly vice president of engineering at OptioLabs, has been appointed to the same position at security technology developer Silent Circle.
He brings more than 30 years of software development, mobile, entrepreneurial and management experience and he aims to help expand the company’s technology portfolio in his new role, Silent Circle said Tuesday.
Gregg Smith, CEO of Silent Circle, said that Meister will support the company’s efforts to innovate and help customers secure business communications.
At OptioLabs, Meister led a cybersecurity development team focused on developing tools designed to secure Android devices.
He previously held technology leadership roles at the National Security Agency as well as various companies such as Sonum Technologies, AM Consulting, United Parcel Service and Aether Systems.
