Kelly Bissell Joins Accenture Subsidiary as Global Managing Director; Omar Abbosh Comments

Kelly Bissell, former Deloitte cyber risk services lead for Europe, Middle East and Africa, has joined Accenture as global managing director of the latter firm’s Accenture Security subsidiary.

Accenture said Monday Bissell, who was hired in June, holds 25 years of security industry experience in breach incident response, identity management, privacy and data protection, secure software development and cyber risk management.

“Today’s threat landscape is evolving incredibly fast as breaches continue to grow in frequency, size, severity and cost,” said Omar Abbosh, Accenture chief strategy officer.

“That’s why we are investing aggressively in this most strategic area by recruiting superior cyber talent like Kelly Bissell, who brings exceptional leadership, expert insights and global industry experience to Accenture.”

Bissell served under several leadership roles with Arthur Andersen, AT&T‘s BellSouth subsidiary, Medaphis and McKesson.

He also holds an executive master’s degree in corporate strategy from the Emory University.
