Hewlett Packard Enterprise has joined the Air Force Association’s CyberPatriot program as its new Cyber Silver corporate sponsor.
CyberPatriot is AFA’s education initiative that aims to improve cyber skills among students and help them pursue careers in the field of science, technology, engineering and mathematics, AFA said Thursday.
“We are proud to be the newest CyberPatriot corporate sponsor; it is exhilarating to be working with America’s youth who aspire to become tomorrow’s cyber security leaders, keeping America strong, safe and free,” said Earl Matthews, vice president of enterprise security solutions for the U.S. public sector at HPE.
AFA will conduct the finals for the National Youth Cyber Defense Competition in Maryland in April as part of the CyberPatriot program.
The competition challenges several student teams to identify cyber vulnerabilities in computer networks as well as perform networking activities with information technology professionals.
