Joseph Chioda serves as vice president of business development for the intelligence and security sector at BAE Systems Inc., the British defense and aerospace company’s U.S. subsidiary.
He has nearly three decades of corporate development, project management, strategy and planning, business capture and software development experience in the defense sector.
In his current role, Chioda is responsible for the creation of new industry partnerships, metrics development, and presentation of pipeline projections and budget forecasts to company executives and clients in both the defense sector and intelligence community.
The Project Management Professional started his career at BAE in 2011 as director for several intelligence agencies and held that position for more than three years.
He worked at DynCorp International for nearly three years and served there as senior director of IC capture management and strategic planning.
Prior to DynCorp, the retired U.S. Air Force veteran has held senior leadership roles at Northrop Grumman Mission Systems, including business development lead for the Defense Department and manager of strategy and planning operations.
Chioda currently serves as a member of several organizations, including the Professional Services Council, Intelligence National Security Alliance, Project Management Institute and the Armed Forces Communications and Electronics Association.
The University of Maryland University College alumnus holds a MBA and a MS in management/project management from Strayer University.
