Northrop Grumman’s electronic systems unit in Linthicum, Maryland, has secured the Capability Maturity Model Integration Level 5 rating in recognition of the facility’s performance in software and firmware development.
The CMMI Maturity Level 5 appraisal from Carnegie Mellon University’s Software Engineering Institute suggests the level of performance Northrop’s electronic systems division shows to continuously enhance its business processes in line with its organizational objectives, Northrop said Thursday.
Nicholas Paraskevopoulos, vice president and general manager of engineering, manufacturing and logistics operations at Northrop Grumman Electronic Systems, said the appraisal helps validate the company’s commitment to providing quality technology and services for its customers.
Northrop Grumman Electronic Systems has 6,000 employees and focuses on the development of advanced electronic devices for military and corporate clients.
