Mark Hawkins, former chief financial officer and executive vice president of Autodesk, will serve as chief financial officer salesforce.com starting August 1 and report to Marc Benioff, chairman and CEO.
Salesforce.com said Monday that outgoing CFO Graham Smith will stay on as a full-time adviser to assist in the transition until his retirement on March 31 next year.
“We are thrilled to have Mark join salesforce.com and help guide our growth from more than $5 billion in revenue this year to $10 billion and beyond,” Benioff said.
“He is the right person to succeed Graham, who has been a phenomenal CFO and instrumental to our success over the past six years.”
Hawkins has at least 30 years of finance experience at other software and technology firms such as Dell, Hewlett-Packard and Logitech, where he managed financial operations and procurement activities, among others.
While at Autodesk, he oversaw 50 acquisitions and chaired the company’s global operating council.
Hawkins has served as CFO and senior vice president of finance and IT at Logitech, vice president of finance for Dell’s procurement and logistics unit and U.S. home segment and in overseas postings at HP.
