Glenn Hutchins has been appointed to AT&T‘s board of directors and will serve on the corporate development and finance committee.
The three-decade finance veteran is a co-founder and former co-CEO of Silver Lake, a technology investing firm with more than $23 billion under management, AT&T said Friday.
“Glenn is one of the world’s pre-eminent technology investors and will be a terrific addition to our board,†said Randall Stephenson, AT&T chairman and CEO.
“His deep expertise in technology and finance, combined with his public policy acumen, will be incredibly valuable to AT&T.â€
Hutchins served as a special adviser on economic and healthcare policy to President Bill Clinton, is a director of the NASDAQ OMX Group and serves on the board of the Federal Reserve Bank of New York.
He holds an A.B. from Harvard College as well as an M.B.A. from Harvard Business School and a J.D. from Harvard Law School.
