Parsons will host the seventh annual Charity Golf Classic at the Augustine Golf Club on June 9 to raise $15,000 to support a variety of programs and services of the Institute of Veterans Education and Training.
The company said Thursday the tournament is expected to fund efforts on the education, training, job placement, life management and outreach to potential employers and academic organizations for former servicemen transitioning to civilian life.
“We enjoy supporting causes benefitting those who have served our country,” said Mary Ann Hopkins, Parsons group president.
IVET supports veterans, reservists, National Guardsmen and their spouses by cultivating educational and job opportunities.
