Turner Construction has obtained an Occupational Health and Safety Advisory Services certificate from the Energy Department for work to develop and implement a workplace safety program.
The OHSAS 18001 registration is intended for companies that provide safe work conditions to their employees, Turner said Monday.
“Registration with OHSAS 18001 is third-party validation of the success of our safety program,” said Cindy DePrater, a Turner vice president and corporate director of environmental health and safety.
The company said its safety program is based on the safety philosophy of “Building Living Injury Free Everyday.”
