Douglas J. McCrosson has been appointed as the new president and chief executive officer of CPI Aerostructures Inc., effective March 6.
McCrosson, who was also appointed to the company’s board of directors, will replace Edward J. Fred who resigned for personal reasons, the company announced Thursday.
Since joining CPI Aeros in 2003, McCrosson has served various positions, most recently as the chief operating officer.
“I will continue to work with our senior management team, board members and the incredibly talented team of professionals at CPI Aero,” said McCrosson.
“As both an engineer and executive, I have experienced first-hand CPI Aero’s commitment to continuous improvement, and product and service excellence. I am excited to address the opportunities that lie ahead and look forward to our future with confidence,” McCrosson added.
Fred will remain with the company in an advisory capacity until May 16 and a consultant until Nov. 16, 2015.
