Jim Halsell, Dynetics technical director for advanced space launch systems, will speak at the University of Florida on Wednesday to discuss various topics related to space exploration and engineering.
Halsell, a former NASA astronaut and U.S. Air Force colonel, will also talk about his role at Dynetics, the company said Friday.
The event will be held at the university’s New Physics Building, where Halsell will be joined by other company representatives to give graduating students an overview of the positions Dynetics is looking to fill in the fields of electrical engineering, computer engineering, aerospace, mechanical engineering and computer science.
Halsell joined the company in October 2011, after a career where he flew five, two Shuttle missions and commanded three others for a total of more than 1,250 hours in space.
