TeleCommunication Systems has rolled out new X/Y tracking antenna systems for earth observation satellites amid growing demand for ground station monitoring terminals, CIOL reported Friday.
According to the Annapolis, Md.-based communication technology solutions provider, it has design and manufacturing techniques that allows for customization using various sizes of antenna reflectors and X/Y pedestals.
The tracking array for use in low-Earth and medium-Earth orbit can be applied to remote sensing, telemetry and control with an X/Y axis configuration that eliminates data loss at zenith crossings.
It has carbon composite-reinforced antenna reflectors that can be deployed for tracking in any environment because it is able to withstand a wide temperature range.
Feed assemblies for transmitting and receiving include multiband RHCP and LHCP.
