Microsoft has made its Microsoft 365 package available for U.S. government cloud environments.
Josh Rice, general manager of Microsoft’s worldwide modern workplace, wrote in a news release published Monday the Microsoft 356 package includes Windows 10, Enterprise Mobility + Security and Office 365 offerings designed to help government agencies meet U.S. security and compliance requirements.
Microsoft 365 will be available across three government cloud platforms that work to handle controlled unclassified data: Government Community Cloud; GCC High; and DoD Cloud.
GCC is designed to accommodate government civilian agencies at state, federal and local levels, while GCC High works to serve government clients that operate in highly sensitive environments as well as commercial enterprises that engage with those agencies.
DoD Cloud is built to serve the Defense Department and other armed forces-related agencies.
