DARPA Seeks Radio, Network Architectures and Technologies to Address Data Channel Degradation Issues - top government contractors - best government contracting eventThe Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency seeks proposals for radio and network architectures and technologies that can sustain the reliability of networks through data channel degradation periods.

According to a FedBizOpps report published Jan. 5, the Network Universal Persistence program works to create and showcase radio technologies capable of withstanding signal degradation experienced across military operational environments.

Network UP will also separate control information and data information across two different wireless links to mitigate a common failure mode produced when radios send network control data through the same link.

The first technical area of the program will involve the creation of the radio architecture and control link channel while the second area will focus on making a burst link network.

Interested parties have until Mar. 2 to respond to the presolicitation notice.
