Aerojet Rocketdyne has received a $22.7 million contract modification for the development of a reusable oxidizer rich staged combustion cycle booster engine designed to use liquid oxygen baseline propellants.
The Defense Department said Wednesday the modification will increase cumulative value of Aerojet Rocketdyne’s contract to $218.4 million.
Services under the contract include booster engine design, construction and testing.
The company will perform work in Rancho Cordova, California, and is scheduled to finish by Dec. 24, 2020.
