The U.S. Army has awarded DynCorp International a potential five-year, $5.12 million task order to repair aircraft components deployed worldwide and a separate $955,000 contract to maintain land mobile radio systems in support of Kosovo’s military forces.
DynCorp said Tuesday that it will perform the aircraft parts repair work at Corpus Christi Army Depot in Texas as part of the Storage, Analysis, Failure Evaluation and Reclamation and SAFR satellite task order.
The order was awarded through General Services Administration‘s Logistics Worldwide Schedule contract vehicle.
Billy White, program director of aviation operations and life cycle management business unit, added that the company would continue to provide components and repair criteria to the military services, a mission that started in 1989.
DynCorp said Wednesday that it will also repair and maintain Motorola-built land mobile radio systems for troops in Kosovo.
The company began its support for the Kosovo forces and NATO in 2007, which includes mentoring, aviation maintenance, force protection and base support.
“We look forward to continuing our partnership and providing mission critical LMR support to our NATO allies in Kosovo, where we have supported the U.S. Army and other customers for several years,†said Randy Bockenstedt, senior vice president of DynCorp’s logistics business unit.
