NexGen Communication has received a five-year, $7.7 million indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract to provide spares and repair supplies for the U.S. Navy’s AN/SSX-1 Specific Emitter Identification System.
The Defense Department said Tuesday NexGen Communication will work to repair, modify, update and manage the configuration of the system to address requirements under the Surface Electronic Warfare Improvement Program.
SEWIP is the block upgrade program for AN/SLQ-32(V) electronic warfare systems.
The Navy will obligate $435,050 in fiscal 2017 working capital funds at the time of award and expects the company to finish contract work by December 2021.
Dulles, Virginia-based NexGen Communication is an engineering research and development company that provides communication services to commercial and government customers.
