Rockwell Collins has received a subcontract from Aviation Training Consulting to provide modifications to the U.S. Air Force‘s B-52 training system.
Rockwell Collins said Tuesday it will develop major system modifications to support new functions on the B-52 bomber aircraft of the service branch.
The project will also involve upgrade work on the cockpit procedures trainer, electronic warfare simulator, weapons systems trainer, aircrew training devices and mission trainers.
Rockwell Collins added the effort will help the Air Force maintain crew readiness for its bomber strike force.
The company will perform work at its Sterling, Virginia-based simulation and training solutions facility through 2024.
