Carahsoft Technology and Terra Pixel have partnered to offer the latter company’s geospatial data streaming platform through an online cloud marketplace Amazon Web Services runs for the U.S. intelligence community.
Terra Pixel’s Streamap uses cloud computing technology to index, share and search Open Geospatial Consortium standards-based geospatial data sets, Carahsoft said Thursday.
Matt Rattigan, manager of AWS marketplace solutions at Carahsoft, said intelligence agencies can view Terra Pixel’s Streamap offering through AWS marketplace’s 1-Click feature.
The platform is designed to also help agencies make their geospatial data accessible outside of the original data source, according to Carahsoft.
“As the commercial industry and government agencies transition from downloading imagery data to streaming analytics, we are privileged and excited about the collaboration with Carahsoft and AWS to contribute to our national programs,” said Terra Pixel’s Andrew Palowitch.
Carahsoft acts as the master government aggregator and distributor of the Terra Pixel offering for IC.
