The U.S. Army has awarded General Electric‘s aviation subsidiary a potential five-year, $45.8 million contract for support work on T700 engines that currently power various multiple aircraft platforms.
GE Aviation will perform work under the indefinite delivery/indefinite-quantity contract through Sept. 24, 2021, the Defense Department said Tuesday.
The Army Contracting Command received one bid for the procurement effort via the internet and will provide funds and performance locations with each order.
T700 engines are designed to power helicopters such as H-60 Black Hawk, AH-64 Apache and EH101.
