Harris has unveiled a robotic technology offering the company designed to help operators disarm improvised explosive devices, Defense News reported Monday.
Jen Judson writes the T7 EOD robot, which Harris unveiled at the Association of the U.S. Army’s annual convention Monday, employs an intuitive interface and can be equipped with a water disruptor that works to disengage a trigger.
The company said T7’s interface is designed to provide force feedback so the user can feel when the robotic arm hits the ground or an object through the controller, Judson reports.
The report said Harris developed the robot based on input from potential end-users.
