Jeremy Burton, chief marketing officer of Dell Technologies, wrote in a blog entry posted Wednesday the company’s goal is to serve as a partner and a catalyst for enterprise customers that aim to transform their information technology functions.
Dell Technologies formed as a result of the merger between Dell and EMC.
Burton said the company seeks to help enterprise clients embrace modern software embedding development methods and the underlying cloud technology through its Pivotal subsidiary.
“To effect an IT transformation, IT must adopt a hybrid cloud strategy and base it on modern data center technology such as flash, scale-out, software-defined and cloud-enabled technologies, while hardening them so they’re trusted and protected,” he added.
He noted that Dell Technologies subsidiaries Dell EMC, Virtustream and VMware will work with customers to help them implement hybrid cloud strategies.
The company’s RSA and SecureWorks businesses will offer platforms and services intended to strengthen the security posture of enterprise clients, according to Burton.
