Raytheon has received a $30.3 million contract modification from the U.S. Navy to provide radar absorbing material-equipped planar array antenna assemblies for the transmission processing sets of the Cooperative Engagement Capability.
The Defense Department said Wednesday the contract also covers delivery of CEC sensor netting system antennas to Japan under the foreign military sales program.
DoD noted the Naval Sea Systems Command will obligate the full amount of the modification from the Navy’s fiscal 2016 shipbuilding and conversion, “other” procurement and FMS funds.
Raytheon will perform work in Florida through February 2018.
CEC is designed to net battle force sensors of ships and aircraft and provide military users with a single distributed anti-air warfare defense system to counter manned aircraft and cruise missile threats.
