Rockwell Collins‘ missionized flight management software has received a Future Airborne Capability Environment verification statement from the FACE Consortium.
The company said Tuesday the MFMS-1000 reusable software was developed to provide full civil airspace interoperability and help customers on mission planning.
Troy Brunk, Rockwell Collins vice president and general manager of airborne solutions, said the company will support Defense Department‘s focus on modular open systems architecture and will offer the FACE version of the MFMS-1000 to aid the U.S. Navy‘s push to meet required navigation performance area navigation requirements.
The FACE Consortium government and industry partnership was created to create a standard for open avionics environment for airborne platforms.
The partnership developed the FACE Verification process that analyzes the quality of a software implementation to specification requirements of the FACE Technical Standard.
