Ephesoft Gets In-Q-Tel Investment to Offer Doc Analytics Platform to Intelligence Community

Ephesoft and In-Q-Tel have formed a strategic alliance to offer a document analysis platform to the U.S. intelligence community.

IQT invested in Ephesoft for the deployment of Ephesoft Universe, which is designed to help organizations utilize unstructured data using the open source Apache Spark data loading technology and Hadoop to cluster multiple PCs, Ephesoft said Tuesday.

George Hoyem, an investments partner at IQT, said the Ephesoft technology applies machine learning to extract data from “unsearchable” documents.
