CAE has delivered the naval warfare training system to the Swedish Navy and kicked off the installation process at the Naval Warfare Centre in Karlskrona, Sweden.
The Naval Tactical Mission Trainer suite consists of 52 student stations and 13 instructor operator stations, CAE said Tuesday.
Ian Bell, CAE’s vice president and general manager for Europe, Middle East and Africa, said that the Swedish Navy will use the naval warfare training system to train Swedish Navy sailors and officers in naval tactics, procedures and doctrine.
Training exercises will cover various disciplines such as sensor operations; command, control, communications and computers; and weapon systems.
The Swedish Navy will also train for operations in anti-air warfare, anti-surface warfare, anti-submarine warfare, mine warfare and search and rescue.
