The research subsidiary of Vencore has been awarded a potential four-year, $8.3 million by the U.S. Air Force to help the military service branch research and develop analog sensing technology for monitoring of digital threats.
Vencore Labs and the Air Force Research Laboratory will collaborate to build a multi-model analog sensing system through the Leveraging the Analog Domain for Security initiative, the Defense Department said Friday.
The Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency introduced the LADS program with the intent to produce new tools and methods to secure embedded, low-resource and Internet of Things devices.
Vencore Labs employs 200 scientists, engineers and analysts who work with customer agencies to help them explore cybersecurity, data analyics and communications platforms.
Praxis Engineering Technologies will also support the LADS program under a $12.6 million contract the Air Force awarded Thursday.
Forty-five proposals were submitted to AFRL for the research and development effort that is scheduled to run through July 15, 2020.
