Schafer‘s government services business has secured a five-year contract to provide scientific, engineering and technical services to the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency’s biological technologies office.
The company said Monday it will support DARPA BTO’s research efforts in the areas of infectious diseases, human-machine interface and neurotechnology under the indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract.
The award also covers programming and administrative support services to BTO.
Schafer has supported BTO’s efforts to develop diagnostic devices and novel techniques for vaccine manufacturing and drug delivery since DARPA established the office in 2014.
Centreville, Virginia-based technology services contractor Fulcrum will act as a subcontractor to Schafer and focus on areas such as neuroscience and brain-machine interface.
