Oceus Networks has obtained five patents from the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office for a wireless networking technology designed to integrate with ground, aerial and maritime tactical vehicles.
The company said Thursday it patented the 4G LTE-based Xiphos communications platform along with its mission management and network control software and tools built to help military users gain situational awareness while on the move.
USPTO also granted patents on the company’s Advanced Network of Xiphos and ONmission management tool for the mobile connectivity network.
“We have delivered these solutions to the Department of Defense and to first responders, and it is this ability to operate in a ‘mobile mobile-network’ that is the most challenging for our customers,” said Oceus President and CEOÂ Randy Fuerst.
ANOX is designed to detect backhaul network links for customers to access satellite, microwave or Ethernet connections.
Oceus built the ONmission tool help customers provision, manage and troubleshoot the Xiphos network for their tactical missions.
