The National Institutes of Health has granted NetComm a Federal Risk Authorization and Management Program certification that allows the company to implement its software-as-a-service platform to government organizations.
Netcomm said Jan. 28 the FedRAMP authority-to-operate certificate is for the company’s Beacon, a cloud computing SaaS designed to help agencies manage and secure workflows.
Veris Group audited the Beacon offering as an independent third-party assessment organization under FedRAMP.
Netcomm’s platform was evaluated against the National Institute of Standards and Technology‘s third edition of SP 800-53 security controls, Veris said Thursday.
The cybersecurity firm also tested information system infrastructure, source codes, operating systems, databases and online applications for the Beacon cloud service.
