The Department of Homeland Security has collaborated with Blackstone Technology Group to develop a shared service platform for agency information technology professionals to build, test and implement mobile applications.
Blackstone Technology said Wednesday the DHS’s Office of the Chief Information Officer has featured the development-and-operations platform Carwash as an innovation project model in the department’s IT strategic plan.
According to the DHS IT Strategic Plan 2015-2018, Carwash offers agency development teams “a one-stop-shop for mobile application testing.”
Blackstone Technology aims to help the department accelerate development of mobile apps and identify security issues early in the apps’ life cycle through the Carwash platform.
The company’s federal services business has supported DHS over the past 13 years.
