Force 3 has been awarded an $18 million blanket purchase agreement to provide VMware products for the U.S. Census Bureau’s data collection process.
The Census Bureau currently explores ways to automate and update its data gathering practices with the use of websites in mobile platforms and diverse languages and an electronic data entry for field workers, Force 3 said Thursday.
Mike Greaney, CEO at Force 3, said the company will provide installation and service of VMware products in an effort to help the bureau utilize virtualization technology in the collection of data for the 2020 census.
Force 3 will carry out the task through March 31, 2020, under the BPA.
The company will also evaluate virtualization infrastructure operations and propose changes to existing designs.
