Serco Inc. has been awarded a potential $47.7 million contract to produce hazardous material support for the U.S. Navy’s southwest regional hazardous material centers.
The contract contains a one-year base period and four one-year option periods, the Defense Department said Tuesday.
Serco Inc. will perform work at the Naval Base San Diego, Naval Air Station North Island, Marine Corps Air Station Miramar, Naval Construction Battalion Center Port Hueneme, Naval Air Weapons Station China Lake and Naval Air Facility El Centro in California.
The company is scheduled to complete the task by December 2016 and could extend work through Dec. 31, 2020, if the Navy exercises all options under the indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract.
