AT&T and IBM have agreed to further their collaboration as they aim to help organizations manage information technology applications, networks and cloud computing workloads.
IBM said Thursday it will oversee AT&T’s managed application and managed hosting services and integrate the offerings into IBM’s cloud portfolio through the partnership.
Jon Summers, senior vice president of AT&T’s mobile and business solutions unit, said the companies have worked to build technologies over the past 20 years.
AT&T plans to continue to offer mobility, cloud networking and security services to customers as well as collaborate with IBM to develop integrated platforms.
As part of the agreement, IBM will use equipment and space at AT&T data centers that work with customers to manage their enterprise applications and host IT operations.
