ICF to Operate HHS’ Childcare Delivery Center, Develop Care Hotline; Melissa Zwahr Comments

ICF International has received task orders from the Department of Health and Human Services worth $39.8 million combined to operate the agency’s State Capacity Building Center and design a hotline and website for childcare.

Under a $38.5 million task order with a one-year base period, four one-year options and one six-month option, ICF will maintain the Office for Child Care’s center meant to help expand access to childcare, ICF said Wednesday.

The company will also develop a fresh childcare hotline and website for the OCC with the goal of helping families access and choose child care options.

Under the two-year, $1.3 million task order, ICF will collaborate with childcare experts and staff across the Administration for Children and Families’ Technical Assistance Centers to design the website based on the Child Care and Development Block Grant Act requirements.

“Together, these projects will greatly increase access to vital information and resources designed to improve decision-making around child care services and ultimately achieve better outcomes for the nation’s children and their families,” said Melissa Zwahr, vice president for ICF International.
