Quantum Systems has opened a new 135,000-square-foot production and integration facility in California to meet the growing demand for tactical uncrewed aerial systems in support of defense and security partners across North and Latin America.
End-to-End Development Hub
Renovated to support the entire development lifecycle, the facility includes secure manufacturing lines, engineering labs, research and development zones, in-house flight operations and administrative offices, Quantum Systems said Friday.
The integrated layout enables streamlined production, coordination and refinement of the company’s family of systems.
The new site consolidates all U.S. operations to boost efficiency and cross-functional collaboration.
Government-Funded Innovation and Contracts
In May 2023, Quantum Systems received $20 million from the Department of Defense for its Vertical Take-off and Landing Capable Fixed-Wing Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance Small UAS project with the U.S. Special Operations Command.
In August 2023, the company was named a subcontractor in a $30 million Department of State contract awarded to Rapid Response Defense Systems to deliver mid-range UAS capabilities.
