V2X has partnered with Bell Textron to deliver a next-generation training capability for Flight School Next, an advanced rotary-wing training program that aims to modernize and enhance training for U.S. Army aviators.
Scope of the Partnership
V2X said that under the partnership, which was formalized under a memorandum of understanding, it will provide maintenance and readiness support for the Bell 505 helicopter, which Bell Textron seeks to offer for the Army flight training effort. The five-seat training aircraft is equipped with the latest avionics and flight technologies that could meet the Army’s flight training requirements.

Commenting on the collaboration, which also includes DigiFlight, Delaware Resource Group and TRU Simulation, V2X Senior Vice President of Aerospace Systems Vinny Caputo said his organization “is proud to support the next generation of Army aviators by preparing them for complex and demanding environments alongside Bell and our other valued partners.”
For his part, Bell Executive Vice President for Strategic Pursuits Jeff Schloesser said his company’s partners “represent a collective commitment to delivering a trusted, high-performing, technologically advanced and low-risk aviator training program to the Army customer that will ensure they are prepared for dynamic and challenging combat environments.”
