Raft Demos Agentic AI Battle Management Capability During Air Force Event - top government contractors - best government contracting event

Defense technology company Raft showcased StarSage, its agentic artificial intelligence battle management system, during the U.S. Air Force’s recent Decision Advantage Sprint for Human–Machine Teaming, or DASH.

In a company statement Tuesday, Raft founder and CEO Shubhi Mishra, a Wash100 winner, described the exercise as a “key step forward” in rapidly deploying AI-powered battle management platforms across the Air Force.

“Participating in the DASH event was a critical opportunity to showcase our agentic AI capabilities in an operationally relevant environment,” Mishra remarked.

[R] AIMS Demonstration

In addition to the StarSage demo, the company also presented during DASH its lightweight AI platform [R] AI Mission System, or [R] AIMS, which brings together data, AI agents and limited and large language models into a single ecosystem.

During the Air Force event held at Howard Hughes Operations Center in Las Vegas, Nevada, Raft demonstrated StarSage’s capabilities in autonomous command and control operations. The company also showcased the mission-specific AI resources that [R] AIMS provides.

Under full operator oversight, the two platforms combined in processing simulated radar, data link and voice input for threat identification and battle effects generation, as well as locating task-friendly aircraft.

Air Force Rating of StarSage

According to Raft, the Air Force’s evaluation of StarSage showed a 99 percent success rate in pinpointing and responding to hostile elements in under two seconds. The platform also demonstrated real-time human–machine teaming through its algorithm generation immediately upon operator feedback, the company noted. It added that more than 25 national security agencies and several Department of Defense programs have already tapped Raft’s autonomous data fusion systems and agentic AI capabilities.

ShOC-N Demonstration

In January, Raft held another demonstration for StarSage and its [R]D tool, also known as Raft Data Platform, during the Air Combat Command’s exercise called ShOC-N, short for Shadow Operations Center–Nellis Capstone 24B exercise. The event integrated [R]DP as a third-party command and control data layer for ShOC-N’s identification, testing and integration of new technology into the kill chain.

Another ShOC-N participant, Palantir, showcased its Maven Smart System to test human–machine teaming for battlefield risk reduction.
